Fun In Ogden

While Aaron was at his meeting in Tooele we went to the Children's museum in Ogden. We have been there a couple of times but the kids act like it is their first time every time.
Madi liked to milk the cow. I even tried this one because it looked pretty fun!
Porter and Ry rode the buckin' bronco!
Brayd and a little girl almost got in a fist fight over this horse trailer. Brayd was NOT happy she tried to take it from him.
Parker, Brayd and Alex. Brayd and his 2 cousins hung out alot! In age Brayd is pretty much right in the middle of them. They get along very well and are good buds!
We always have so much fun when we go up to Ogden. It's fun to hang with Grandma and Kara and her kiddo's.
That evening we went home to make dinner. I made a chicken pot pie while Karen made freezer strawberry jam and Aaron made strawberry ice cream! It was fun to all be in the kitchen and I love when Aaron gets his apron on!
That night, Grandpa, Grandma, Adam, Kara, Taylor, Ashley, Aaron, Madi, Porter and I had a sweet game of volleyball! I am so not athletic but since I'm on this quest to being more active as a family I got out there. It was really fun and I think we all had a blast!

SHREK 3

As soon as the kids' last day of school was over we headed up to Ogden to meet up with Aaron. He had to meet with some people in Tooele so we decided to go up this weekend instead of him coming down.
When we got up to Ogden Aaron hadn't even left Burley yet so we had about 3 hours to kill. We first did a little shopping, then Madi asked if we could go to a movie. We went over to look at what was playing and the kids were excited when Shrek 3 in 3-D would be showing in a half-hour! Just enough time to call Grandma Smith to come watch it with us.
Brayd's all ready!
Ry's all ready!
Porter is ready!
And so is Madi!
It's hard to believe that my kids are finally getting old enough where I can actually do stuff like this with them. Having them all so close was SO worth the 5 years of hard work!
We were so glad Grandma could join us and have a good movie night!

Porter's Program

Porter's program was pretty much exactly like Madi's was last year. It was so cute to see him performing and singing all the songs. He acts so tough but he is so cute!
What a cute little guy!
Porter is hiding behind the plates but I like the way this looks...
Porter stood and waited for me to take this picture. He held up the line but was waiting so patiently.
Kinda fuzzy, but cute.
Porter and Mrs. Decker.
Mrs. Decker was so cute and I think she was just the perfect teacher for Porter. She was very patient and kind. Great for Porter!

Happenings....

Ry usually doesn't fall to sleep in the car and when he does I most likely wake him up because he won't go to sleep as easily as I would like him to. Today though, I thought he looked so cute when he fell to sleep with his sunglasses on....

Such a cute boy!!
While Aaron was away this week, he asked Porter to spray all the weeds. If he got it done they can go skim boarding this weekend, when Aaron gets back to town. I sent him out to spray away and looked out the window and saw this....
Porter really is a thinker, especially when it comes to figuring out how to do something easier than it seems.
I say this alot, but I love that I have boys that are becoming more capable every day!

Madi's 2nd Grade Play

This year in Madi's end of the year program she was chosen to be the Narrator. Her play was about the three little pigs. She did Awesome of course and I don't think she even stumbled over any words.
She had to remember to turn the microphone on and off every time she would talk. Not once did she miss a beat!
There are two reasons why I post pictures of myself.....1) So my kids will remember me. 2) My kids are the ones that usually take the pictures and I love their picture taking skills-in case you couldn't tell that already.
All ready to begin the program.
Brenden just loved this wagon that was part of the play. One little boy wouldn't let him play with it. He was so sad.
Brayden is always faking a yawn when he is bored. This is him in action and the crew that came to watch Madi perform.
When the play was over Brayd and Brenden got the "go ahead" and were happy to play with the wagon.
Madi's class with her teacher.
I didn't get a picture of just Madi and Mrs. Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was such a great teacher for Madi! She was so nice and Madi just loved her.
We will miss her!

My Momma's Birthday

It seems that for my parents birthday the last couple of years we have just gotten together and had a BBQ and played kickball. It's good times, however, at the end of this years party, my mom said, "Let's do an adult party next year." I did agree! We did have fun and that is what matters. I didn't get tons of pictures, but I did get a picture of the birthday girl.
The kids all jumped on the park bench.
Mom blowing out her candle.
So Pretty!
Mom, Madi and Lex.

Happy Birthday Mom!!
Hopefully next year will be a little less stressful

Madi's Baptism Day!

I am so proud of my Madi for getting baptized. Aaron's grandma Smith didn't get baptized until she was 9 and we wanted Madi to know that it is o.k. to wait until you are comfortable. She decided to do it now and was so very excited for this day.
A quick family picture before heading to the church.
With our Baby Girl!
Just THE monkeys!
The traditional picture:)
Another family picture with Madi in her Baptism dress. My mom made her dress and it turned out just PERFECT!! Madi looked beautiful and it had purple flowers just like her blessing dress my mom made.
Bentley was blessed the same night Madi was baptized and we had a dinner afterward. It turned out great and the company was perfect!
Madi and Bentley, the two that made this night special!
Aaron and Madi.
My Madi and I.
Grandpa Wilbur got Madi a bank to keep track of her spending, savings and tithing money.
Aaron explaining it all to Madi.
All the men that stood in the circle to confirm Madi. Along with Taylor, who held the microphone-he's not quite old enough yet.
With Grandpa Wilbur also.
Madi and her Grandpa Key and Grandpa Smith
-The 2 Witnesses-
Just a side note.....Madi got baptized twice because her toe snuck up out of the water.
Whoops!
