My Soccer Man Ry!

So, Porter and Madison have both been in soccer and didn't love it. Porter would rather ride motorcycles and Madison would much rather sing, or play the piano. Well, Ry reached the ripe old age of 3 and is now old enough to play soccer. Do you think he wanted to? Does Aaron play soccer? OK, there is your answer. If Aaron has EVER done, DOES, or ever WILL do it then Ry WILL do it! We all know that! Aaron is even helping out by being the assistant coach.
I think they will both enjoy this:)

Aaron-the best soccer player we know-spent some time giving Ry a little one on one coaching.

Ry did listen well with a smile on his face.

Here is a little of Ry in action.

I'm not going to pretend he didn't spend a lot of his time pushing the other little guys. Even his own teammates.

In the middle of the game we kept cheering for him and telling him to get the ball. We would catch him running really fast in the right direction but looking at the people on the side lines. Then out of no where he got a burst of energy, went around the bunch of kids and dribbled the ball right to the goal. It was the cutest thing ever!

He was SO proud of himself. He walked right over to his dad for a little recognition.

Ry was so, so hot after the game, he even sweats like his dad.

Giving a cheer for the other team.

And a little bit of high-5's

My two cute soccer players.

I think Ry did pretty well for his first game! I'm excited to see if he still likes it after a couple more games!
Go Ry!

After the game we had to go check out this new ice cream place next to Great Harvest Bread. It was incredible! They serve a bunch of different flavors of low-fat or fat-free yogurt. It's self serve so you get to decide how much or how little yogurt you want. Then you can add any toppings you want also. All for just .38 cents an ounce.
DELICIOUS!!

Brayd got a little chocolate with chocolate chips.

Ry got some strawberry yogurt with chocolate syrup and reeces candy bar.

Porter got some chocolate with chocolate syrup and m&m's.

Aaron picked out for us, cheesecake yogurt with strawberry's and granola.
Madison is missing because she went up to spend the weekend with my parents and grandparents up North. I'm sure we will go back soon to take her.
It was a very fun little activity for the kids and quite enjoyable for Aaron and I. We will be back soon!
I highly recommend it.

The Rodeo!

It was "Dixie Round-up" time in St. George again! The rodeo for me is one of those things that I always did as a kid so I go. Not because I like it, but because it's tradition. A little popcorn in a brown papers-well, plastic this year- sack with too much oil and salt. Those are the kind of memories I will never forget.
As we were walking to the arena this big thing was there...

The nice guard let the kids go in and check it out. Porter and Ryan were able to poke their little heads out of the holes.
Madison and Brayd hung out in the bottom area of the big tank.

I usually just post pictures with my kids or Aaron and I in them but this was too cute...

Aaron made the comment that in a couple of years this will be Russ' and Nicole's life.
I can't wait!!
Apparently I needed to be more worried about Russ looking at the camera. Not the babies.

Just Aaron and Brayd hangin' at the rodeo.

My dad started this tradition that every year all the kids that hopefully won't get lost go on a walk with him. They get excited about their walk.

You can kind of see Madison Ry Porter and my dad in this picture. Heather's kids were too fast at getting down the stairs so they aren't in the picture but they did go.

When Ry came back from the walk he handed me my dads phone. I didn't know what it was all about until Ry told me that it was in case he got lost grandpa could call him.

Ry loves his grandpa, he is such a good helper too. This last week Ry went up for an evening and helped grandpa plant his garden. In his prayers today he even prayed for the "Russell Sprouts and the Peas". He may be a devoted gardener. There's nothing wrong with praying for your crops right?

Ossie's First Road Trip!

This weekend we headed up to Liberty for Aaron to take care of "business". Every time we drive through Provo we say we should stop and take the kids to "Krispy Kreme Doughnuts". We took our chances and were hoping the "hot light" would be on. It Was! We were very excited because there is nothing like their fresh cooked doughnuts!

After we ordered our 12 doughnuts they gave us our free doughnut right off the line.

We enjoyed them VERY much. As you can tell Brayd is pretty excited about his.

On Saturday night Aaron and I went out with some of his family while his little sister stayed at home and baby-sat the monkeys. When we got home we found this.....

Brayd had pinched his finger in the closet then was so sleepy he just fell asleep on the stairs.
That boy can fall asleep anywhere!

On Sunday as we packed up and headed out!

This is how excited Ossie was to get back home.

On the LONG drive home Ossie found many different places to sleep...

Behind Madison....

With his head half-way in the cup holder....

His head all the way in the cup holder....

And......On the center console between Aaron and I with my sunglasses on.

Ossie was quite the wiggle-worm when we were driving home so we didn't pay attention to him a lot of the time. So, when I looked down and saw my sunglasses on Ossie face I thought it was quite funny. Apparently my glasses were sitting where Ossie wanted to be so while he was sneaking in "his" spot the glasses ended up on his face.

We love our little Ossie Boy!

Fun Family Times!

As much as I have tried to fight it, even my baby girl loves motorcycles. I'm not so much against them they are just a little dangerous. Well, I lost! My family LOVES to go out on the motorcycles with their dad. I can't believe Porter is even good enough to give rides now!

Madison was such a good sport and she jumped on the motorcycle with Porter and let him give her a ride around the track.....

Aaron took the little monkeys on rides..

While Ossie and I swang and took pictures.

I really do believe that a family that "plays together stays together." I just hope we have a good balance of work and play in this family!

Smart Kids!

I always get a little nervous around SEP time. I never know what the teachers are going to say about my kids. I found out I had NOTHING to worry about! Madison and Porter are both doing very well and reading WAY above their grade level.

First we went to Porter's class. Mrs. Decker said Porter has the BEST handwriting in the class. I was very proud of Porter for this. My dad always tried to make me write better but I didn't care. Now I wish I would have. The one thing the teacher asked him to do that he couldn't was count by 5's. I taught him this when Madison was in kindergarten apparently he forgot. We got him refreshed and by the time we got home from the school he had it down. Porter's teacher is very impressed with him and I'm happy to say after his "yellow" light at the first of the year there have been NO problems!
Good Job Porter Man.
I know you can do it!
-sit still that is-
Madison's SEP went for about 5 minutes. I walk in, the teacher says she's an angel, asks if there is anything I have to talk about and we leave. I am happy to say though that Madison has 4 really good friends in that class. That is the ONLY thing I worry about with her. I don't want her to be SO shy! Aaron did ask the teacher about some Math we could work on with Madison also. Apparently Aaron was THE fastest at addition in his class when he was in 1st grade. Imagine That!
After we got home Aaron got on the computer with Madison and did some addition while I sat down with Porter and worked on his sight words. As soon as Porter and Madison were done working very hard I put Porter's words away and said,"Let's go get ice cream and rent Home Alone".
They were very excited about this!

Every kid needs a little recognition for doing good.

My Babies LOVE their ice cream!

So does my different Baby and I

I am excited for this school year and how much ALL my babies are going to learn!

Ry's First Day of Preschool

My little Man Ry is ready for preschool. This is kinda crazy for me. I feel a little bit like I am raising 2 different sets of kids. First I have Madison and Porter. Then I have Ry and Brayd. It feels a little weird to be sending my baby Ry to school.
All pimped out and ready to go!

Yep, Brayd does what Ry does.
I don't know how Brayd is going to cope without Ry being home to entertain him....I don't know how I am going to cope either.

Ry all ready to meet his new teacher!
Brayd has to be in every picture with Ry.

Ry was very excited to go to preschool.
He told me he likes it so much because he gets donuts and juice.
I'm thinkin' he will be getting a rude awakening when he realizes he doesn't get juice and donuts everyday!

My little man is growing up.
He is such a cute little man!

My Big Helper Ry!

Quite often we make Aaron cinnamon rolls for breakfast and take them to him in bed. Ry always asks to take them into him. When they do this I always send about 3. This way there is enough for Aaron and Ry.
This day Ry came around the corner to tell me I forgot to give him a fork and the cinnamon roll started to fall. So, Ry tried to catch it......
With his face!
My babies are such good helpers!
