25 Weeks!

This one is for you, Melissa:)
I did it...
Yes, I'm growing a baby!!
I'm getting ALOT top heavy! It's incredible. I will take it though. It's so worth it!!
This last week this little ladies movements have gotten much stronger. When she moves others can see my tummy move. In fact, Joanna just saw it happen this weekend. A couple of days ago I was hugging Aaron from the back and she moved, or kicked or whatever she does and Aaron could feel it. I was very excited about that!
We are stocking up her closet and preparing maybe a little too early but the excitement is hard to contain around here. Especially with the kids, o.k. me too:)

SEP Time...

I get excited when SEP time rolls around and I get to talk to my kids teachers about them! I was very happy to only have good reports. I don't think I have bad ones but this one was especially good.
I first met with Mrs. Winterton and I only get from her the same that I have gotten from every other teacher she has ever had. "Madi is just the perfect student! I don't really have anything else to say". There was one time when the teacher told me she would like it if Madison could work on NOT being so quiet. O.K.?? She's a sassy at home-yes, gets that from me:)
I love my Madi and I'm so happy she does so well in school. Both academically and behavior!!
Now Porter??
He is doing very well also. His teacher did give me 3 test scores that they have done recently..
Yes, he does very well also!! The difference between him and I was I didn't do so hot academically and I talked all the time. Mrs. Saville said that I am very lucky that he excels in all subjects not just one!! That makes me one proud momma! Porter does get in trouble for reading too much in school. He told us that today his teacher had to take his book away from him:) I can put up with that!
Porter had to write a letter to him from someone or something else.....
He chose to be his motorcycle.
Not surprised.
Some things about Porter.
I'm very happy with the day!!
Ry's SEP is tomorrow, we'll see how that goes.....
He'll do great!

Sacramento

Saturday morning was our day to drive to Sacramento which was closer to where Peter Cetera would be performing and closer to the airport. But, on our way there we needed to stop at the Jelly Belly Factory and have a tour:)
At the Factory.
We had to wear these sweet hats on the tour.
The tour was interesting enough but I probably won't go back:)
With the Jelly Belly Man.
After our pit stop we continued our journey to Sacramento. We got a quick lunch at a sandwich shop which was yummy then took our stuff to the hotel. We then did a little bit of shopping. Aaron found him and the boys some cute shoes at the DC shoe outlet store. He loves him some DC shoes!
We had a dinner reservation at The Melting Pot at 4:30 so we headed there.
I took a picture of all our courses!
Cheese fondue with vegetables, chips, apples and bread.
The "Wedge" salad.
This is to remind us of how much garlic we ate on this trip!
It was insane!!
Our main course which was shrimp, filet and chicken.
I had battered something and put it in the oil and when it came out it looked like this....
Some funky creature!
With some steam.
Our dessert!!
It was incredible. I love that going to The Melting Pot is a even, not just dinner.
I believe this is our only picture with all of us!
I guess it's proof:)
When dinner was done we went to see this man....
Yes, it's Peter, the whole reason for the trip. He sang more of his songs with Chicago then his ones as just him. I was kinda sad about that but I was very happy and love to just listen to him.
Wow, I guess I'm getting to be a big 'ol momma!!
Thanks Baby for the trip!! It may be awhile before we get another one but I am o.k. with that for right now. I have missed my babies this month!

A Day In San Francisco

After a good night's sleep we were ready to hit the town and become real tourists!!
I thought this was as good of a view that I was going to get of the Oakland Temple.....
So I took a picture:)
Our plan was to go out to the island Alcatraz. Which is an island that held really naughty prisoners. Well, come to find out you need to get tickets at least 3 days in advance. We did not know that. Maybe next time. So instead we wandered down the pier to see what else we could do.
We found a tour boat that would take us under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. We had about an hour before it left so we wandered a little more to see what we could find.
We found....
A view with Alcatraz in the back.....
Some Sea Lions that come up to the boat docks to sun bathe. So cute.....
Some pretty flowers....
I wish this picture wasn't blurry!!
We then got tickets and boarded our boat.
A closer pictures of the Sea Lions.
Driving towards the Golden Gate Bridge.
The City Of San Francisco.
I can't believe how many sky-scrapers they have!
Under the Bridge.
The further away from the land the chillier it got!
I went inside the boat:)
My Baby, I and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Circling Alcatraz.
Alcatraz and the City.
It looked alot closer than it actually was.
The Bay Bridge.
The Golden Gate Bridge.
By the time the tour was over we were ready for some lunch!!
One of the restaurants had this sign up.
Nice huh?
We found a yummy place to eat with garlic fries and sweet potato fries. They were delicious. However, I needed more.
So we got this bucket 'o donuts!
Nice and Healthy and
DELICIOUS!!
We had 7 minutes to spare by the time we got back to our car.
Perfect timing!
We then decided to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge.
I have A LOT of pictures of this bridge!
My baby, I and the city.
Again!
The Bridge and I.
San Francisco and Aaron.
We then found this super steep hill. It's so steep it is a winding road. You can't just drive straight down it.
Me at the top.
Awesome car.
This dude skate boarded all the way down it.
Crazy dude!!
The craziest part is people actually live on this hill!
At the bottom looking up.
Aaron kept telling me to take pictures.
I think he was very amused by this street.
I was then excited to go to the Temple so we headed to Oakland-which was on our way back to the hotel.
I really like this Temple!
So Pretty!!
I love that Aaron has his arm around me and we got a picture of it!
Good Job Jo!
Aaron on his phone:)
Then I took some picture of Jo and Jason and saw that we could get some of the yellow flowers in the picture so we did a take 2!
One more!!
Once again we went back to the hotel, hung out for a bit then went to dinner somewhere close to our hotel.
It was definitely a fun-filled day!
Thanks Baby!!

Christmas In February....

My present for Christmas from Aaron, besides the 12 days, was a trip to San Francisco/Sacramento to see Peter Cetera and have a good time!! Well, the time came! We left our kids with my parents, along with Joanna and Jason's two and it was time for us to head out!
We woke up at 6 o'clock to make our 9 o'clock-Vegas time flight. Well, when we went to pick up Joanna and Jason, Jason made a comment about hopefully making it to Vegas with plates that expired in October! So, Aaron was nervous the whole time and drove the speed limit. That put us a little behind so I started getting nervous. We then hit traffic in Vegas when our flight left in an hour. I was then Really nervous. THEN, we got rear-ended. It wasn't too bad, just bad enough that the Lexus definitely needs it's bumper fixed. By then I was looking up the number to our airline to see if we could get on the next flight because I was sure we were going to miss ours. Well, we didn't call an officer-we had one with us:) The traffic cleared up as soon as we got back on the freeway and with valet parking-65 dollars later-and running through the airport we made our flight with about 20 minutes to spare. Luckily it was delayed!
Beautiful!!
This is only the beginning of Aaron being on his phone this vacation.
I've learned not to complain though. If he didn't work I wouldn't be able to benefit with vacations.
The flight was good besides the rough landing. I decided I fly enough when I don't freak out when because of the winds while trying to land we bounce 3 times before our wheels finally stay on the ground. We rented a car and after a lunch at Panda Express we headed to our hotel for a little resting before hitting the town of San Francisco.
When our resting was done we headed to the city for some San Francisco pizza. We looked up some places but they seemed a little rough.
We did find this steep hill though and though it was cool.....
My baby and I!
A little closer.
We did find a yummy place was may or may not have been over priced. Either way, it was good.
The beginning of the garlic...
This is half a garlic roasted to squeeze on our bread with butter. It was yummy but VERY strong!
This Pizza was delicious!! We were very happy with the outcome. The pizza really wasn't THAT big.
Promise:)
Oh, the salad was so so good also!
We then headed back to get some much needed sleep.
Tomorrow we become tourists!
Oh, the best part about this day was watching guy running. Aaron called it the shoulder-run guy. You can only imagine.....
