Pregnancy Update!

I haven't done very well at keeping the pregnancy part of this "journal" updated. It is probably because I just do my thing and occasionally remember I have something rather large growing in my gut!
Since the kids got out of school a week ago we have spent lots of time outside at the pool and a little bit of time inside doing work. I am trying to keep to a routine of doing some "homework" in the mornings along with a job(s) that take about 20 minutes for each of my little helpers. When the work, homework and piano is done for the kids we then get to play. I have tried to make this last week and am hoping to make this next 10 days memorable before our world is ROCKED by this little one coming......
Aaron leaves for Lake Powell on Monday morning. He will spend Monday to Wednesday with the youth in our ward for Youth Conference then Wednesday afternoon to Saturday with the "guys" for the annual guys trip to Lake Powell. This is usually the week we take the kids and friends to Powell for our trip but I was figuring that to go to Lake Powell ONE week before I'm due would probably fit in the "stupid" category. So, I will stay home and lay around the pool. All while trying my hardest not to go into labor. Shouldn't be hard at all! I have had tightening of my tummy quite a bit but nothing that hurts at all!
I got checked 2 weeks ago and nothing at all was happening. Not dilated and not softening at all! Last week I was checked again and my cervix was "softening". I was checked again today and I'm still not dilated at all but I've got a little tunnel. Whatever that means:) So, I'm slowly but surely making progress. I am very happy about this slowly business. I do not want to go into labor next week. My doctor being in Hawaii and Aaron being at Lake Powell does not make for a good week to have a baby!
They did schedule me for induction on Monday, June 11, 2012. Dr. Winward will be home early the Saturday morning before and Aaron will get home that same day. So, we will relax on Sunday then have a baby on Monday!
Hopefully:)
Well, that is about the happenings around here. Nothing too exciting.....YET!!

Memories.....

When I was in 6th grade Judd's store was the place to go for lunch. Breadsticks and cheese were so yummy!! I haven't been back since so Jo and I decided to take our kids and let them experience it. We had a good old time and the kids got some yummy treats.
Madi and Brayd with their treats.
Can you see the monkey in the middle?
I love my adventurous Porter!
Ry loves him some treats too. Him and his 2 chins:)
My expectations were a little high but the food was still good.
Happy Summer!

FIRE!!

Because I am a grandma there are times that I wake up and can't go back to sleep for about an hour. I know the minute I wake up if I will be able to go back to sleep or not. At 3:30 this morning I knew it was going to be an awake hour. I usually just stare in the darkness and hope for sleep. A lot of the time little lady is awake at this time also so I lay and feel her wiggle around. I hope we will not be making this a habit for when she is born but it is quite possible. As I lay in the darkness it had been about a half hour when I heard sirens. Because we live in the Fields this is a rare occasion. Especially in the middle of the night! The sirens got closer then stopped right in front of our house. It kinda freaked me out so I went outside in my underwears to see what was going on.
This is what I saw.......
I went in the house and told Aaron our neighbor's house which is kitty-corner from us was on fire. Luckily this is a vacation home so no one was there. Which could be a good or bad thing......
Aaron jumped out of bed and called the Stewart's-who also had the guys number who's house was on fire.  If only a baby was this big of an emergency. I now know Aaron can function in the middle of the night:) When  I saw how crazy this fire was I woke up Porter to see this craziness. It was rather entertaining!
We then woke up Madi so she could be in on the action.
And Os of course. This is my beautiful robe:)
Madi, Os and Porter. We set up some blankets so we could hang out and be comfortable for an hour!!
This was great!
The flame's still going strong after an hour!
This picture was taken just before we headed back to bed.
Ry joined us for the party about 10 minutes before we headed back in to bed.
I didn't want to get in trouble for not waking anyone up.
Brayd was way too sleepy!
This kind of shows how many emergency vehicles were there. I believe Washington, Hurricane, Ivins and St. George all had fire trucks there. Along with police and an ambulance. I'm happy to know that at least we are protected. I will need to take a picture of the house in the daylight to show the damage. Very Crappy!
We are pretty sure the fire was started by a gas leak in the master bedroom-Brother Stewart said that they had been trying to fix one for awhile.
Crazy Business!!

Madi's 4th Grade Performance....

With the end of the year, there are lots of programs and performances. Porter did not have one and we missed Ryan's because we were on our way home from California. We did make ALL of Madi's and Brayd's.
This one was for the whole 4th grade. It was about "Utah". Madi and her cute friend Katrina were both Indians. They sang some cute songs and just looked beautiful!!
 Cute girls.
Madi and Mrs. Winterton. Madi has really enjoyed having Mrs. Winterton as her teacher and choir director this year! Mrs. Winterton's personality is a lot like Madi's so they have gotten along really well. They both quite like each other!
On Madi's and Porter's testing for the year they got all "Gold's" This makes a mother very happy!
I guess they will be moving on.....

Brayden's Preschool Graduation!

I know I ask this all the time.....How Did This Happen? 5 years ago when my oldest of 5 was barely going into kindergarten, I knew this day was NOT going to come. Now my sweet baby boy is done with preschool and only thinking about kindergarten! Brayden has learned so much this year from Ms. Makenzie! She has been an awesome teacher! Brayden made an excellent friend this year and loves to hang out with Tayson Wilkerson.....
Brayden and Tayson all ready to graduate.
Brayden's preschool class.
Brayden just singing his little heart out!
I love when Brayd bites his side lip. It's a nervous, embarrassed thing that he does:)
Still singing.....
Going on a "Bear Hunt"
.......Gonna Catch a Big One....
Running so so fast!
Cute Cap that his teacher made for him.
Brayden and his Diploma.
He is so so cute!!
All graduated!
Brayden and Ms. Makenzie...Awesome Teacher!!!
Class of 2012!
So...Brayd made himself some cute little girlfriends this year! They would always say bye to him after school and requested a picture with Brayden.
A little embarrassed:)
Ryan was with me and such a good picture taker while I filmed.
Thanks Ry!
I just couldn't narrow the pictures down anymore! I love my beach bum, blond haired, skinny, tan little boy! He will forever be my BABY BOY!!
I can't help it......

Madi's Choir Performance

My sweet Madi had her last choir performance of the year.....She has really enjoyed choir and is a pretty good singer. Especially considering her mothers beautiful voice:) Her last performance was held at Pine View High's auditorium and was rather entertaining. She hasn't gotten brave enough to try out for any parts, she just enjoys being in the back.
Maybe next year.....
The only picture I got of her performing. We had the video camera out most of the time and it was dark!
On our way out. All done with choir!! Can you see the tear?
Not really!!
Good Job Madi! Keep singing your little heart out.
The plan is for Porter to join next year.
So Fun!!

Knott's Berry Farm!!

After our relaxing day we were ready to hit another amusement park. The kids needed some more rides and were ready for a thrill!! Even Ry and Brayd were ready to go on ANY and EVERY ride they could. There were a couple of rides that they were still too short for and they were NOT very happy about this but still had a good time!
 I got in this shot.
Aaron, Madi, Porter and Ry on their first ride.
Craziness!! They even went upside down.
Brayd wanted to get his picture drawn in a "Caricatures"
So Cute!
Snoppy land was close by so we went on some rides while Brayd was being drawn.
My kids were a little embarrassed to be on this ride but they seem to make it through.
 Porter's turn to be drawn.
Madi even had Snoopy himself jump in on a picture.
 Finally it was Ry's turn.
While Ry was finishing up getting drawn I went over to see Brayd getting a Gecko painted on his face.
Nice!!
Oh Brayd, that is just beautiful!
Madi and Porter on the Ferris Wheel.
 Brayd, Aaron and Ry.
While the older kids were on a different ride I took Brayd to the "hats".
He loved this ride and couldn't believe how fast he was going.
He was trying to spin so so fast!
We then had time for the Monster Trucks.
This is the only ride I went on:)
Brayd checking out the map for us.
We ate at this little restaurant in the park.
It was O.K. food.
The kids all went on this ride and thought it was pretty fun.
Aaron trying to get the kids to look at me.
I don't think anyone listened.
Madi won a little bear for her Ossie Baby.
She was so proud to win all the boys.
Aaron, Madi, Porter and Ry got to go on this ride.
Again, Craziness!!
 They even went upside down.
Twice!!
 On the nice relaxing boat.
I still am too scared to go on this ride.
Aaron joined Brayd on the 'hats'.
While the other kids were on the swings!
They all had a good time spinning!
They all LOVED having Aaron spin them.
 Heading to another ride!!
Brayd got to buy this sweet gun.
He was so so happy about it.
Brayd and Ry got to go on the snoopy ride again while the older kids were off trying to get in a couple of more roller coasters before the park closed.
 All my "Hotdogs":)
These crazy kids hit all the rides and loved them all!
Madi loves to just let herself go on roller coasters!
And these two boys were so so sad when they weren't big enough to go on rides.
We all had a good time! We have now decided that we will not be going to any amusement parks when everyone is out of school. It was so nice to just walk on any ride they wanted to. A lot of the time they didn't even have to get off the ride and could just go again.
It was so worth it and the perfect way to end our vacation.
Tomorrow we will travel to Vegas, go to the mall, hang out with Russ, Nicole and Ryker. Go to dinner with them, spend the night. Then our plan is to get up on Friday, go to breakfast and head home.
Our vacation was a blast and we are so happy we got to come down, relax and have some fun!!
Now, Bring on the baby!!!
