Today is the day we are heading to Lake Powell! For the Smith family reunion we are going to Lake Powell until Saturday. I think we will have lots of fun and I am very excited! Especially because we made dinner at my house today after church and EVERYONE helped prepare the meal. It was great. Well, we are outta here! Check back in a week to see how our vacation went!

My Little Man is Not so Little Anymore.

Brayden was eating his Wendy's when I looked over and saw that he thinks he is big enough to sit on his bum and eat.
He just wants to big like his brothers and sister.

My Babies are Bound to Love Motorcycles!

Sometimes life gets a little dull around here but it doesn't stay that way for long. Saturday after school got out Porter was getting antsy and wanted some kind of action to start happening-I wonder where he gets that from-. So, Porter asked if he could ride the 110. He usually is content on the 50 but times are changing.

He was very good at it. He is always up for a challenge and the 50 is just too easy for him now.

So, Aaron put the training wheels back on and Madison is now learning how to ride motorcycles.

Ry never wants to be left out so he decided to learn to ride Porter's "little" bike. He did very well and has now adopted it. We put the training wheels back on Ry's bike and it is now Brayd's.

Cute Boy!
I know Brayden isn't far behind riding. He loves it and is angry when his turn is up!

Maybe I should learn how to ride these things so I can enjoy the family activities that I know are in my near future!
At least we don't have pay for the things. They could make us very poor! Good choice of profession Aaron!

Last Day of School 2009

The year has come and gone, Madison and Porter have learned So much in school this year and I am so proud of how hard they worked. Porter knows all of the 1st grade sight words (this is very exciting to me because I didn't think he would have any interest in reading AT ALL!) I think having Madison just a year ahead of him helps a lot. He thinks they are pretty much the same age. I do too. Madison is very good at her work also. She is an excellent reader and does amazing on her spelling tests.
Good Job Babies!

Madison on her first day of school.
Sorry it's blurry.

Madison on her last day of school. She is wearing the dress that her and grandma made in her sewing class.
I think she is beautiful!

Porter on his first day of school.
I fixed the mode on the camera.

Porter on the last day of school.
Should I be worried about the way he is standing?

My All-Grown up Babies!

To celebrate we took our kids with The Martin and Garn families. to Pirate Island Pizza. Wow, that was a lot of work, but the kids did a lot of work all year, so we thought we would reward them. I took these pictures before the Martin's got there, so I don't have any pictures of Gavin or Kenna, but they were there!

Brayd loved the hat!

Kinzlee and Madison are so photogenic. Every picture of them turns out so DANG cute!

Ry, Porter and Corbin, they think they are pirates. AAARRRGGG!

Well, it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of these three. But, they ARE cute!!
I guess Melissa should have had the camera.

I am SO excited for summer to be here. I really do like schedules, but I am so ready to sleep in every day and go to the pool EVERY DAY! We are planning on spending a total of 2 weeks at Lake Powell, some time in Liberty and LOTS of time in the sun!

SUMMER IS HERE!!

Porter's Kindergarten Program

Porter sailed through kindergarten ALOT better than I expected. The first week of school his teacher, Mrs. Buzzell, had to talk to me and told me that Porter wasn't respecting the classroom belongings. That weekend we had lots of talks how he was going to be a "Good Example" to his friends. After that I had ZERO problems! Mrs. Buzzell told me that he was very polite and kind. I think he just needed a little scare. Porter's program was just held in his classroom so just our little family attended this one.

When we got to the school I went to ask Madison if she wanted to come with us and she was very excited to.
It just so happens that it was dress-up in a jersey this day. I thought it was on Tuesday, that is why Porter was in his for Madison's program. No, I don't just send my kids to school in these jersey's often.

Porter was so polite during the whole program. What a good boy!

I love how Porter is sitting in this picture. He thinks he's SO cool.
He just looks like a teenage boy that doesn't know what to do with his long legs.

They are singing a song where they are driving a fire-truck here. The cutest thing is when he was acting out shooting the water out of the hose, he got way into it. I missed the picture though. At least I got it on video.

Here's Porter and Daddy. I love that Aaron is able to make it to all the programs! I know A LOT of dads do, but I also know A LOT of dads don't.

I think Mrs. Buzzell was counting with me on this one. I took the picture when I got to "2". She was such an awesome teacher for Porter! I love that she was loud and put down the rules, but she was a grandma and cute also. I know Porter liked Kindergarten, but he is very excited to go to 1st grade. Wow, all day with half my kids at school?
I'm Sad!

Madison's 1st Grade Program

So, My baby girl is growing up SO fast, she had her first grade program today. Their them was "Patriotism." She wore her 4th of July outfit from last year. She was showing a little leg, but she looked so dang cute! They sang lots of patriotic songs and did hand movements to alot of them. Brayden loved the actions and would join in. He is So Dang CUTE! On the last song they told us to join in on the last verse-they actually sang the first verse 3 times-. I heard this deep voice singing and it kinda caught me off guard. I looked over and Aaron was just a singin' away. It was way cute!

All I have to say is Madison is BEAUTIFUL!!

Madison is such a rule follower. I kept trying to get her to look at me but apparently her teacher had told her to look at the director the whole time, but she thought we were funny.

Each class said a part. I don't remember what she said, but this is her saying it.

They held up these plates during one of the songs, I think it looks pretty cool. Especially with the flag in the background.

Here she is doing the actions, I'm pretty sure Brayd was doing this also.

OOOOhhhh, look at those legs.

Aaron and his Boys!

Madison's Biggest Fan Club!

And the rest of the family that came to support. Heather wasn't there, but that is because I didn't let her know about it. My other sisters just live so close and they have nothing better to do than come watch my kids sing:) I hope you aren't offended Heather, but I figured I wouldn't add anymore to your plate.

Aaron is so proud of Madison. One of the things Madison would do in class was every Monday she would do weekend news. Well, the first weekend news consisted of "I went shopping". Not too surprising huh? Which took up about 1/4 of a line. The last weekend news she did was 20 lines Long! Good job Baby Girl!

Miss Dutson was Madison's first grade teacher. She is such an awesome lady. I helped at Madison's class twice a week so I got to know her pretty well. She has TONZ of patience and is such a happy person. She was the PERFECT teacher for Madison, so calm and kind to her students. I know Madison just loved Miss Dutson and will be sad to leave her class, but she is getting bigger:(

Here we all are. Aaron even left work in Hurricane to come to Madison's program. What a good daddy!
He must have an awesome boss!

I can't believe how big my kids are getting, but I guess time has to go on and my babies have to grow up!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day this year. It all started with Aaron rolling over at 7 o'clock in the morning when my alarm went off and asking "Do you want me to make you breakfast in bed?" That is a good baby. I declined because I eat Raisin Bran for breakfast and that probably would have turned in to Raisin Bran all over my bed. The day went pretty normal. I did realize that Aaron tries really hard to be able to take care of our babies but sometimes his patience runs out. If anything this day made me feel that I am needed around my house.

Aaron (and my babies) got me this sweet swing for Mother's Day this year! I really do enjoy just swinging outside, I somehow find it relaxing.

Thanks Baby for making me feel important on My Day.

Monster Trucks

I hope I don't offend anyone by saying that we are pretty much "white trash!" We have gone to TWO white trash events within a week of each other. I didn't post any pictures of motocross, but we did go. Then we went to Monster Trucks. What in the world are we turning into? The funny thing is both events were pretty expensive to go. But, I guess it is a good memory.
Porter, Alan and Brayden were pretty mesmerized as the Monster Trucks were driving out to be introduced. Probably because it was SO LOUD!

Madison brought her cute little friend Kinzlee. She always loves it when Lexi shows up to places. Madison and Lexi are constantly surrounded by boys. Poor Girls!

Porter was VERY happy to be there.

Ry and Aaron were a little late because they had to take a detour and buy some snow cones. Aaron can't pass up a snow cone EVER!

Just like I can't pass up a caramel apple.

AND......Neither can my boys.

Ry loved it!

Brayd loved it!

Brayd was so scared he just sat on my lap the whole time. I had to pry him off to sit on Aaron's when mine started falling asleep.

Ok, I guess the monster trucks weren't too bad! But, people do need to put on a little bit more clothing.

I love the fact that girls have to look so pretty. Kinzlee spent a lot of the day with us. After running around in water Kinzlee came over so I fixed her hair -just like Madison's of course-they looked so cute, I had to take a picture.

Aren't they adorable!?!

We Have Peas!

My dad has this INCREDIBLE garden! He has had peas for almost two weeks now. Yesterday we got a call from my dad in dire need of someone to come pick his peas. We of course were up there within 20 minutes to bask in his pea garden. Well, we finally got peas out of our garden tonight, we were so excited! It's not nearly the garden he has but hey, it's a start!

Madison was the privileged one that got to pick our first pea.

Then, she even got to eat the first pea. She did share with me.

After we ate the 10 peas we got out of our garden Porter called grandma to see if she had some that were ready. SHE DID! So of course we went up and attacked their garden.

THANKS GRANDPA AND GRANDMA FOR KEEPING
US FULL OF PEAS!

Saturday Night With Tuff and Trini

I don't know many 25 year old dudes that would be willing to hang out with 7, 6, 3, and 2 year olds on a Saturday Night. However, I do know 1 and that is my Sweet Brother Tuffness. Aaron really wanted to go down to Super Cross in Vegas this weekend, so after arguing for like 2 weeks straight about this I finally gave in and my Sweet Sis-in-law Trini volunteered to watch my kids for like 12 hours straight while we went down. Trini ended up having to work for a while so Tuff took it all on for about 5 hours. He even picked up my dry cleaning.
While we were watching the races I got a picture that looked somewhat like this....

At first I was a little bit confused until I figured out that this was my backyard with a blow-up screen set up. The kids LOVED it!

Look how happy they are!

They all seemed to have a great time!

Thanks SO much Tuff and Trini!
You sure know how to make a night FUN!
