Grandpa Wilbur

My dad's "real" dad came to visit just in time for Madi's baptism and Bentley Boy's blessing. We had such a great time with him! You see, when my dad was about 6 years old his parents got divorced. My dad and his 5 siblings were forbidden to see his dad. It is such a sad story but what's done is done and the only thing we can do about it now is try our best to make up for lost time. My grandpa is SUCH a nice guy! We now know where my dad got his HUGE heart from and his willingness to do anything for anyone. The first day my grandpa was here my dad took Ry, Brayd, Cam Man and my grandpa up to the cabin. My grandpa was so patient and had a great time with all the boys. When we first got to my parents in the morning to drop the boys off, my grandpa turned a kid show on for them immediately. He is such a cute guy!
That night we all went over and had tacos. Grandpa couldn't stop talking about how "delicious" they were. Ry and grandpa, they became good buddies.
So cute!
Grandpa with Ry, Connor, Porter, Madi and Lexi.
Just havin' some dinner.
Now Cam and Brayd. Grandpa waving at the camera.
Such a cute Old Man!
We had such a fun time hanging out with Grandpa and getting to know him. As he was leaving he kept saying to everyone, "Have a nice Life." I really do hope we see him again. I know I missed out on some good memories with him when I was a child so I hope I can make some now.
If anything, at least we know what to expect my dad to be like when he is old(er):)
After dinner my dad and Jason went riding with the boys. Now, this is quite the process but the kids love it so Jason and my dad are good to take them out.
Grandpa helping Porter out.
Grandpa and Jason with all the grand-boys except for Bentley.
Brayd posing and Cam Man driving.

No More Stitches!

Ry was VERY excited to get his stitches out. Of course he milked that finger every day those stitches were in. It's a good thing the weather wasn't very good this last week or we would have been sad that we couldn't hang out at the pool!
We had to do a little shopping before we could get his stitches out and Ry just couldn't wait!
When we finally got there they took us back right away.
Ry was feeling a little nervous.
Then he relaxed a bit and decided to have a rest while waiting for the doctor.
Can you see that birdie?
Brayd was being our photographer the whole time.
Check out this picture.....
Cute huh? Good job Brayd!

All done with stitches! Ry got lots of stickers and his stitches to take home to put under his pillow for the "stitch fairy" As if the bill to get the stitches wasn't enough! Then the doctor said the stitch fairy paid even more than the tooth fairy! WHAT?
Well, that was a good experience that I never want to do again. But, with 3 very active boys I'm sure this won't be the last time!
I Do Love My Boys!

Oh Ry!

So, I'm sitting in Relief Society enjoying my time to myself and starting to learn about prayer when Ry's primary teacher walks in and says "Ry needs You" Great!
As soon as I get in the hall I can hear my Ry screaming. As I get to him I can see there is ALOT of blood coming from his finger. His teacher begins to explain that he was doing something with the door when he acted like his finger was caught and wouldn't really move. Turns out he got his middle finger stuck in the door handle and it cut it open.
So, I go get Aaron, he cleans the sore up a little and a nurse in our ward looks at it and says she would do stitches.
Lisa Miner volunteers to watch Madi and Porter and we take Brayd with us and head to the Insta Care.
Of course the wait is a while so Aaron thinks to go on a walk.....Aaron doesn't have alot of patience but he is good at thinking of fun things to do to distract from pain.
The funny thing about this picture is he was doing just great until I took the picture and Ry had to put on his pouty face.
We finally got in to see the doctor about an hour in a half after getting there. I didn't think it was too bad of a wait. When we got in the doctor agreed that it definitely needed stitches. Ry hated everything about this experience and was miserable the WHOLE time. They had to put a shot directly into the wound and that was BAD!! Aaron almost passed out and Ry was SCREAMING!! I had to tell Aaron to look away and I'm glad he obeyed or he may have ended up on the floor. Ry was yelling the whole time and telling us how hot he was and kicking his legs. It wasn't a pleasant experience but we got through it.
After 5 stitches and Ry almost sweating through his clothes we were able to leave the Insta-Care.
Once again Ry was o.k. until picture time. Brayd was just happy to have a sucker!!
I am very thankful for doctors but I still don't really like to go visit them. Hopefully we won't be back for awhile.

Kite Festival

You normally would not see me at things such as this. However, I try to be helpful and have fun with my kids when I can and this fell in to both categories. So, while Heather was out of town, My mom, I, Bud and Moss headed out with 9 kids. It went really well.
Alan is such a good helper with the little boys and the boys love him!
Cute Brayd!
Cam's big head, Connor, Ry, Alan, Porter, Lexi and Madi.
On the bus ride over.
Cute little Double Trouble Boys!!
These two had so much fun together.
I was in charge of these little boys so that is why there is mainly pictures of them.
Brayd going down the slide.
The Kite Festival was very entertaining and we had a good time. The boys especially! I would recommend it and you may catch me there next year!

MADI TURNS 8!

Yep, my baby girl turned 8 on me! This is so not fair how fast she is growing up, but, at the same time it is so nice that they are all getting old enough that we can move on from the baby stage-for now.....And forever if Aaron has it his way.
The morning started out with some waffles and bacon for breakfast
With her and Porter lighting her candle in her waffle.
And blowing out her candle.
Aaron soaking up the warm weather while here for a few days. Then he will be back to Idaho.
Then on to the presents.
With a funny-face/pose picture also.
Madi in her cute birthday dress and with her presents.
My beautiful 8 year old Baby Girl!

Russ' birthday is one day before Madi's so almost every year she and Russ have had their "family" parties together.
Cool Hat Russ!!

Big Wishin'!
Our "Birthday Family Picture"!
Madi with her Best Friend/Cousin, Lexi.
Lexi made her a cute little notebook that Madi Loves!
Happy Birthday Madi.
I love you so much and hope you know that! You are such a good example to your little brothers and SO patient with them. I know you will be excellent at whatever you put your mind and heart to.

Farewell Burley!

As our time in Burley, Idaho is coming to an end Ry was taking pictures. When I realized he was taking pictures-besides of me of course-he said, "I'm taking pictures to remember Idaho." How thoughtful of him.
This is just a random picture that Ry took when we were taking Aaron some lunch. I guess Aaron was having a rough day and needed some caffeine.
The street we lived on-Greenbrier.
A house we passed several times a day on our way to town.
Lots of fields in Burley.
The school the kids went to for about 4 months. Madi in 2nd Grade with Mrs. Wassom and Porter in 1st Grade with Mrs. Vargass

Last time hanging out at Aaron's shop.....
Just attacking the candy bowl.
This was Ossie Baby's playground. We took him with us almost everyday when we would take Aaron lunch. Ossie is shaking in this picure. I'm not so sure he's lovin' the coat.
Of course the boys loved the motorcycles.
Ry got good at scooting around on them.
Porter thinks he's in a real race!
A night view of Aaron's shop.
This is the house we spent 4 months of our lives living in. It was a good house and served it's purpose well. I can't really say that we will miss it, but it was good while it lasted. On the side is another 3 car-garage. That is where the kids spent their days riding their bikes!
On our way home!! I did pull this trailer all by myself! I didn't even crash.
If anything was learned by moving to Idaho it was that I can now pull a trailer!
