Halloween Night

I think I have made it pretty clear that I am not a fan of Halloween. However, I do love that we all get together-well, we do that pretty much any excuse we have-but still. This year, as we have for the last couple of years we headed over to the McInnes' neck of the woods for a carnival/trunk or treat.
Before we left we had to of course get pictures of my cute kids....

Madi was a 50's girl.

Porter a dirt bike racer.
Ry was Tigger.

And Brayd my little Monkey.

I'm thinkin' I have a pretty cute family!
Porter thought it was pretty cool that he didn't have to smile in this picture because you can't see it anyway.

Not long after we got in the car to make the trek over to the party our Monkey was out!

And Tigger was next..

It didn't take them long to wake up and warm up to the idea of going around and getting candy.

Aaron and Moss took care of handing out all the candy while their wives hung out.

I know that Brenden is the cutest Mickey around!

The cutest Dixie State "Rebels" Cheerleader!

Ah, that's precious of Joanna and Hailee Mae making the same face:)

Ry Alan and Porter. Alan took good care of the boys at the carnival. He is such a good kid!! I think it's so cute that Alan has his arm around Ry.

Madison enjoying the games at the carnival.

Heather made the cutest 50's skirts for Lex and Madison. I thought they just turned out adorable!
Good Work Heather!!

Tim had to work so Brianne joined in on the family fun..She was so cute to take Brayd around and get him some candy!

I love the back of Brayd and his Monkey costume.
Too Cute!

Joanna and Jason forgot to come with Candy. So when they pulled up Jason adopted Aaron's bowl of candy and I think Aaron ended up handing out Heather's dum dum's.
Whatever works.....Right?

Our three beautiful baby girls!

Turns out Frankenstein got the Mouse!

Tuffness showed up looking like this and I think we were all a little freaked out about it sometime during the night. I couldn't stop looking at Tuff and figuring it out. I didn't get a picture of Trini but she was a witch!!

Madison, Porter and Cam were good helpers at the popcorn stand with Grandma.

My kiddos do love the popcorn!

Tigger and his grandpa!!

I tried to get pictures of everyone but I obviously missed Bud-not quite sure how that happened since I walked around with her most of the night-I guess I was too busy taking pictures of her cute baby. I'm sure she is o.k. with that.-I also missed Trini, Connor, Paul, Russ and Nicole. Oh, and Me! That's o.k. we did have a great time!
Thanks to Heather and Paul for putting on a great carnival and letting us all tag-a-long. It was GREAT FUN!!

Ry's Preschool Halloween

At this house we had Halloween parties Thursday, Friday and Saturday. That is a lot for this girl who isn't a fan of Halloween. That's o.k. though the kids enjoyed it.
Ry got dressed up as his Tigger and had his preschool Halloween party then sang some Halloween songs to us. It was short but very sweet!

Ry first started out behind everyone.

He then found his way to the front with everyone else and sang his little heart out. He is a people watcher so got distracted a bit but I thought he did well.

Ry with his favorite friends at school.

Ryan loves school and is very upset when I tell him he doesn't have school. He is such a good boy and his teacher says-as nicely as she could-that he is a know-it-all. Come on though, what do you expect?
His dad IS Aaron.
If you ask me......I think Aaron does know it all!

Sleepy Brayd and Hailee Mae

The other night when Jason and Jo decided they had earned enough money from baby-sitting my kids to go on a date they took advantage and went. I of course watched Hailee Mae. I mean honestly what is one more? Especially because she just walks around and wants to be held sometimes.
This day she decided she wasn't so interested in taking a nap so by 7 o'clock she was pretty sleepy and so was Brayd. I discovered Brayd hiding behind the ottoman asleep while watching Dora.

As I was getting the camera to take a picture of Brayd Hailee figured this looked like a good spot and laid down with her Ba.
That wet spot on Brayd's bum is from the water Hailee poured on the carpet. I guess Brayd found just the spot.

Cute Kids!!

Hailee Mae's Birthday!

Joanna decided to make a cute little Dora cake for Hailee for her first birthday. It turned out very cute and Heather-mostly, Bud and I were very happy to go hang out and help with the festivities!
The kids had a lot of fun hanging out together and eating frosting.

Brenden thinks the boys are crazy and even Cam got in on the "posing".

We met for Hailee's party at the park. It was pretty cold but we had some yummy sandwiches and a delicious salad with incredible jell-o. Yes, it was all very good.

The Dora cake turned out so good. The family of 3 1/2 was very happy!!

Hailee did enjoy her cake, even though she was in her nakedness so she didn't get all messy. Sweet hair!!

It was very cold and poor Brayd was shivering. The other kids didn't really care but Brayd and his daddy cuddled up and had some cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEE MAE!!
WE LOVE YOU

Jon Schmidt Concert

So.....A bit ago Aaron got an e-mail from his friends at the Piano Gallery-where we have spent WAY too much money-offering us tickets to go see Jon Schmidt. The concert was taking place at the Piano Gallery so there were only like 100 people that could go each night. Neither Aaron nor I are HUGE fans but we can appreciate some good piano music. So, we invited my Paul, Heather and Lexi to come with. They ARE HUGE fans!

First we got some dinners at Subway

The concert was very fun and 'ol Jon is a very entertaining fella! We had some good laughs and heard some very good music.
After the concert we were able to get a signed copy of his latest C.D. and take pictures with the nice man.

Madison and Lexi were pretty embarrassed to get this picture taken but they look very cute!!!!

It was for sure a night well worth it and it was fun to hang out with Paul, Heather and Lex.
We'll have to do it again!

Fun Family Night

Halloween is by far my least favorite Holiday. The only reason I would even think about liking it is because it kinda kicks off my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year. However, I try to be good about it because my kids love it of course and it is fun dressing the kids up. That is, once you get past the stressful part of figuring out what each kid is going to be. I am such a mean mom and I don't let them be anything scary. I like the "cute" stuff.
I know I'm kind of a naughty about this but I do try to make it fun for the kids.
So, Aaron helped the kids each pick out their pumpkins while I was getting my hair done one night.

First, Aaron drew faces on the pumpkins with permanent markers so the kids could paint them.

Then the kids got to work on painting them.

Brayd did a great job of painting his pumpkin.
Brayd's first comment when I put the paint in front of him was, "this is messy". Wow, what to do about this kid!!

Ry's turned out beautiful!

Madison's of course turned out pretty close to perfect!!

Well, Ry was proud of his until he saw Porter's and wanted his fixed. That is why he is mad in the picture.
So, Aaron got off the computer and came to help fix Ry's beautifulness......

And....the final product!
He's happy again

Porter did do a great job at painting his. It was pretty sweet looking and he did it all by himself!

While the kids painted their pumpkins I made delicious caramel apples......

And, we all enjoyed them!!

I'm for sure going to keep up with the "painting" of the pumpkins. I'm not lovin' the idea of pumpkin guts all over my house and the kids. I think the kids enjoyed the painting more because they were able to do it all!! The only thing I did miss was the eating of the pumpkins seeds. I guess I will have to take the pumpkins up to my dad and make the mess at his house:)
He doesn't care!!
My mom does:(

We ARE Complete!

It's Done!!

Russ finally committed to be with Nicole for ETERNITY!! This was such an incredible day. Everything seemed to fall right into place and it was BEAUTIFUL!! Russ and Nicole got married at 1:20 p.m. in the St. George Temple. We weren't rushed to get there and there really wasn't any downtime during the day it all just pretty much flowed!

The Incredibly happy couple!

Nicole looked so beautiful and Russ did look pretty handsome for a 30 year old!

These are the outfits Nicole picked out for us to wear. I thought they were way cute. Jo and Heather ARE pregnant for those of you that don't know...You can't really tell with all the black on . They just look like they are wearing their sashes REALLY high.

My cute baby and I!

Our good lookin' men:)
Yes Paul, your tie looks fine!

All the grandkids with their two grandma's.
Some weren't very happy about this...
Then we found this.....

I guess sometimes you just have to let them do it on their own...The only problem is there was NO way we were going to be able to get great grandma all the way to the top of those stairs.

Russ has this good friend "Trav" and my kids have really taken a liking to him. He is an excellent guitarist and is very fun to listen to and great with the kids. Well, Porter came up to me at the temple and said " Can I have a picture with Trav?" I thought it was SO cute!

I think Porter wants to be like Trav someday:)

And....Our complete family. I love it!! I am so glad my brothers picked such good girls to be a part of our family. Oh and my sisters picked good husbands too!

The 6 of Us!

And.....the 6 of us!!

Russ and Nicole with ALL their nieces and nephews!
I think they should have this many kids:)

Nicole with ALL her sisters!

The reception turned out great. We got it all decorated and set up just the way Nicole wanted! Well, we hope so anyway. It was fun to see so many people that we hadn't seen in a while and chat with good friends.

Trav, Paul and Tuff played alot of the reception and at the end Russ joined in to play his guitar and sing to Nicole. It was WAY cute.

After Russ sang to her they danced to the same song which "the band" sang and they danced their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Key!

They then cut the cake....

I wasn't there for this because I was out decorating the tractor for them to drive away in but....

It looks like they were pretty nice to each other.

I think the night ended perfectly! Tuff brought Russ' tractor over to the reception hall and we decorated it for them to drive to their room. They ended up driving down main street across the boulevard and made it safely without any troubles.
I wish I would have gotten a picture but I will find one and post it later. Russ and Nicole looked so cute in the "John Deere Green" hats. Nicole's is pink and Russ' green. They had a sign on the back that read...
"My Wife Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"
And she does!
Congratulations Nicole and Russ!
We are so excited for this and can tell you are both SO HAPPY!
Especially Russ!

After thoughts.....
After all was said and done and the happy couple had driven away on their "Big Green Tractor" we got to cleaning up. While in the process we realized we had forgotten to take a few pictures. So, even though our hair was a little messy and we were missing our shoes we thought we had better snap a few shots.....

Heather and I with our cute little baby girls. Jo and Hailee Mae would have been in this picture but Hailee Mae had left with her daddy already.

Just my baby girl and I.
She's is such a sweetheart!
And Beautiful!!
As we were cleaning up we came out to see this....

It's the "Smith" band. I really do hope this happens someday. I don't think I would love anything more than to have my babies singing and playing instruments together. Madison's got the piano, Porter can take up the guitar. I haven't decided whether Brayd will sing and Ry will play the drums or the other way around. Whichever one will be great!!
It really was an incredible night!
Russ and Nicole even said it was "Perfect!"
