Best Grandpa Ever!

The kids wanted to make a go-cart so grandpa was more than happy to get in on the action! The boys spent all day making it then the girls came up to pick up the boys and got a sweet ride!
The Garn family was in town visiting, so Kinzlee got a ride with Madi.
They loved it!
See Ya!
YEP, Best Grandpa EVER!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

My dad is the nicest guy I ever met!! He is willing to do anything and everything for anyone!! He will drop anything he is doing for himself to help others. His most favorite thing ever is to hang with his kids and grandkids. So for his birthday we got together and had a little party that consisted of eating, playing baseball and hanging out!
Dad loves the most random foods, so we got him his favorites....
All the kids love their grandpa.
Random stuff for dad.
The worried look on dad's face is because we gave him some money to buy whatever he wanted. He thought the random food was enough:)
Grandma and Madi.
It was a little breezy so Brayd would grab all the tissue paper as it flew away.
Makayla Jo!
Madi and grandpa.
Dad with his girls.
Russ and Nicole couldn't make the drive up from Vegas and Tuff and Trini needed to leave early.
The girls stuck around though:)
It was a great night for some family fun!
I love you dad!!

He Still Keeps us Laughing...

Porter's job was to clean the laundry room......
He was NOT going to let keep from playing for too long.
He even put them away nicely.
I was impressed!

This Makes Me Happy....

About 3 years ago, I didn't think something like this was possible.....
This boy ran, ran, ran and ran all day everyday. It makes me happy to look over and see that Porter really has a love for reading.
Ahhhh!

Father's Day!

This picture really does explain how Father's Day was for us......
Just Lazy!
We had Aaron's family leave, then my family come over for some BBQ. Aaron stayed in our room and watched T.V. all night because it was too noisy for him. Whatever, it was his day!
Aaron got a bed liner for his truck, a gift card to the movies, 5 cinnamon suckers and a cute home-made hat from Madi.
Aaron is a good dad. He takes care of us, loves us and plays with us.
Thanks Baby!!

Grandpa and Grandma Smith

We had lots of family come down for Baby Jayci's blessing. They all stayed at our house and we had lots of fun together. I didn't take any pictures, but I did find these on my camera the next day.
Grandpa
Grandma
I thought they were way cool pictures and was happy that, whichever monkey got ahold of my camera, took them.

Sakura

My Madi loves to eat, just like her momma. She has been wanting to hit up Sakura. So, one night we did. Porter and Ryan didn't want to go so they stayed with Jo and we had a nice, delicious evening!
Brayd and Dad.
Madi and Mom.
Brayd loved his chopsticks and was very good at using them.
Madi loved her chopsticks so much she brought them home.
DELICIOUS!!
We can't wait to go back:)

You Know It's Summertime When....

It is 11:00 p.m. and we are out roasting marshmallows!
I love Summer
I love my family more!!
**Funny Story....Ryan went to give Aaron one of the marshmallows he roasted for Aaron but got to close and poked him right between the eyes with his roaster. Needless to say, he looked like a Lamanite for the next couple days.**

Leaving Lake Powell

Well, as much as we'd like to, we can't stay at Lake Powell forever! Instead of hiring a cleaning company to clean the boat we do it ourselves. I figure it's better to clean up after ourselves. It's good to teach the kids that we need to clean up, as well as helps us not to be so lazy! The biggest reason is it keeps the cost of the vacation down a bit. We put all the kids to work and they did a pretty good job.
Madi, Mia and Chloe cleaning the shower.
They were so good at it!
While we were filling the boat with gas and getting all our stuff off Lyndsi was so good to entertain. I would have to say she was very good at what she did!
Yes, we did make the kids keep their life-jackets on still.
Leaving the boat.
Madi and Brent are cute all Matchy!
Thanks to friends who make trips like this amazing!!
Thanks to my baby who is kind enough to work so hard for us so we can all reap the benefits!
However, it couldn't be done without the hard working friends who came along.
Good Times!!

Day 5 at Lake Powell

This day was our full day! We had lots of fun and were ready for our last fun-filled day in the sun!
Someday I am going to be good at doing hair.
But never as good as Jill! This girls fingers could move.
It was AMAZING!!
We headed out for some solom skiing.
I thought it was so cute how Aaron was helping Cam get ready.
Our flag Man!
Brayd.
In turn Mike helped Aaron.
Put his glove on even!
No words.
All geared up, and ready to go!
This gets me all worked up!
SO HOT!!
I love how Aaron looks after skiing.
With his hair all wet and out of breath:)
He looks so young to me!
That doesn't happen very often.
Not a great picture but I love me some Brayd!!
Just returning the favor.
Cam explaining to Mike how to ski.
Oh Yeah Baby!!
These two girls may have relaxed as much as the "big" ladies:)
It was so funny watching Cam and Aaron try to take these water thingys off the boat. That's what we get for being white trash:)
Porter and Aaron.
Porter is learning so much about water and I love it!!
There is a good possibility he is more capable than I.
That isn't saying much.
Doesn't Cindy look awesome?
So funny!
The Eggertz had to leave this day to make it home for some activities. It was so sad to see them leave, but we were so glad they came.
Aaron and the Nielsen family took them back.
Porter and his big buff self. Coming in with Brent and Carter.
Ry had to be just as cool with Heather and Parker.
We all decided to head out to have some last-chance boat time.
Everyone, minus the Eggertz.
Heather with Claire and I.
Cute girls.
Mia, Madi and Chloe.
The ladies
With a few babies.
Mike and Brayd dancing.
With Brent.
Ry is by far my most affectionate baby.
I love his hugs.
Ry's first time driving the boat.
And Brayd's.
I'm so glad they already love it!
On the way back to the houseboat, one way looked like this.
The other looked like this.
Crazy huh?
Nothing happened though, they were just scary clouds.
The older kids.
They had so much fun and were so good to play together all week!
Ah, the houseboat.
Where we made so many memories.
It's always sad to leave, but I was ready to go home.
Check out that glassy water!
After the guys brought us back to cook dinner, they headed out one more time.
Pretty good lookin' guys. What I love most about them though, is that they are very capable of taking a houseboat to Lake Powell and having it all run pretty smoothly.
Thanks Guys!
