Our 1st House!

Aaron and I sometimes like to take a trip down memory lane and drive by our first house.
When we got married we planned on living with Karen and Lin. When that got old we started looking for a house. We looked and looked and couldn't find anything!! After a while we finally found what we were looking for. The asking price was $169,000. We were kinda scared to pay that much but soon became comfortable with it and things starting falling into place for it to all work out.
Our only problem was that we were short about a thousand dollars for our down payment. We didn't want to borrow money from family so we did everything we could to come up with the money we needed. Around that time we got in a small car accident. Just the wheel on my little Honda Accord got damaged but the insurance adjuster looked at it and a check was on the way for the damages. Well, we were doing something right because when we got the check in the mail it was around a thousand dollars!! We were so excited that things were working out.
So we moved into this house and made it our first home!
We stenciled sunflowers on the wall in the kitchen. Stenciled flowers in the master bedroom. Put a border of Winnie the Pooh in the nursery which was Madi's room, put up the vinly fencing, and even painted the garage floors. Then Aaron took the extra paint and wrote "I love Bonnie" on the left side of the garage where I parked the Tahoe. So, in turn I wrote "I love Aaron" on the right side where Aaron parked the Lexus.
We even had Russ live with us in this house. He parked his Dodge on the R.V. pad to the left :). Madi fell off the counter in the house while chasing her bottle lid off the counter when her bottle was heating up. This is where I knew what being a mom was! Madi was up all night being sick for the 1st time in this house. This front porch is where I yelled to Aaron and showed him the positive pregnancy test for Madi. Porter was conceived here but we found out we were pregnant with him while I was visiting in St. George. Madi was blessed in the church that was our "backyard".
There are many good memories in this house. We really did love this house. Even though we only lived in it for 20 short months. It's amazing how much life changes in the beginning of different stages in our lives.
